There are many different variations on the Orbea Alma, the main models being the Orbea Alma S30 the Alma 29 S Team and the Orbea Alma H50. The Orbea Alma models have been designed for novices and experienced riders, but are priced at the top end of the market due to their competitiveness. The Orbea Alma 29er is noticeably quick downhill and is used by Olympic champions. The stiffness of the bikes improve performance, allowing for problem free pedalling on rough ground. Apart from the physical appearance, the direct cable routing reduces friction and protects the bikes from mud and dust. The bikes have been designed so that they may still work efficiently in extreme conditions. The Alma 29er was originally introduced in 2006 and updated in 2011, with minor improvements in 2012.
