Alma

The Orbea Alma has been given optimum features and contains the most advanced technology of its kind in cross country competitions. These bikes are ideal for competition as they are lightweight and rigid. Despite being stiff, the Orbea Alma models are both comfortable and compliant. The bikes are very responsive and offer instant acceleration. Corners can be taken quickly and the rider still feels stable. Flat handle bars keep the front end low allowing for out of saddle rides and climbs.

There are many different variations on the Orbea Alma, the main models being the Orbea Alma S30 the Alma 29 S Team and the Orbea Alma H50. The Orbea Alma models have been designed for novices and experienced riders, but are priced at the top end of the market due to their competitiveness. The Orbea Alma is available in 5 individually designed sizes.

The Orbea Alma 29er is noticeably quick downhill and is used by Olympic champions. The stiffness of the bikes improve performance, allowing for problem free pedalling on rough ground. Apart from the physical appearance, the direct cable routing reduces friction and protects the bikes from mud and dust. The bikes have been designed so that they may still work efficiently in extreme conditions. The Alma 29er was originally introduced in 2006 and updated in 2011, with minor improvements in 2012.

The design of the bikes mean that pedal power is transferred more efficiently. Alma bikes are fun to ride with all energy being channelled into the rear wheel. The ease of cornering experienced is due to the low centre of gravity and large wheels.
