Batteries available for cycles vary in form and function. Batteries include cycle computer batteries, designed for replacing the batteries that come at the time of purchasing a cycle computer or heart rate monitor and rechargeable lithium batteries that are needed for running electric bikes.

The bikes mentioned in the latter category are typically supplied with lightweight Lithium ion products that last a long time when compared to normal acid batteries. Fisher batteries are suitable for use in a number of types of product such as calculators and alarms and can be used to power cycle computers allowing riders to keep up to date on the mileage they have achieved, for example. Fisher batteries are Lithium and are high capacity.

Another brand that appears in this sector is Nuociss. This Chinese manufacturer produces Lithium-ion batteries and allows customers to order batteries specific to their needs, by choosing the exact cell type required.
